Science has penetrated into most areas of modern society. This can lead to questions about: (1) Who decides what is researched ? (2) Who decides what technologies are used? (3) Who selects the policy makers and advisers? (4) How do they make a decision? (5) Who else should have a say? The Sci and Soc Blog will contain a series of articles and debates that discuss these and other questions, as well as information on websites and individuals talking about science’s role in society.
Ok this is the first test of this blog. I want to see how useful it could be for linking up with Cork 2005 projects (ie Cork, Ireland is the European capital of culture for 2005).
